The boundary between nightmare and dream is sometimes very hard to define. It's a bit like a French poet (Léo Ferré) used to say: Happiness is misfortune sleeping, don't wake it up!
I take impressions on details and translate them into creativity. It’s not a job; it is my way of life. My father taught me how to see the world, how to observe nature, form, the human form, and architecture. It is a process that begins when I wake up.
I am not against design; design is a concept, it’s another way. I need food, I need information, I need more than that. I need things to tell me stories because if I want to tell stories, I need to listen to them.
Dreams: Exploring parallel worlds of inspiration
To use dreams as a source of information may sound like a cliché, but for me, it is more than that; it’s very important. It’s like I have a parallel life at night. I am happy because I can remember some of my dreams. However, in those dreams, it is always big cities with different identities. Sometimes I get lost, so it’s quite uncomfortable. Maybe sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, but I remember. You know when something is wrong; you feel it. You receive a strong feeling in your body, so you remember easier.
That gives me inspiration. For me, it’s more than a dream. Consciously, I need to put it into writing or draw a picture of it. Perhaps I want to share it with people.
Weightlessness
It took me a while to be able to fly. Now I can. At first it was a dream, but now I’ve crossed the threshold of fear. The wind of freedom has entered my world. It makes it easier for me to blossom.
